Spare tools

The separate spare-tools illustration shows replacement tips for the link remover. They push against the bracelet pins and are not replacement pins for joining the bracelet itself.

Keep the spare tips with your toolkit. Refer to the original PDF below for the supplier's package list.

Adjusting the metal bracelet

Arrow on the underside of a removable watch band link
Look for the arrow on the underside of the bracelet.

1. Find the direction arrow

Lift and turn the watch band to locate the arrow shown in the illustration. For the push-pin bracelet pictured, the arrow indicates the direction in which the pin should be pushed out.

Link remover aligned with the bracelet pin
Position the bracelet so the tool tip meets the pin.

2. Turn the link remover's handle

Place the bracelet in the link remover and align its tip with the bracelet pin. Slowly turn the handle to push the pin outward in the direction of the arrow.

Keep the tool aligned with the pin. Stop and check the position if the tip slips or the pin will not move.

Support the bracelet in the groove of the yellow base.

Support the bracelet in the base groove

The next illustration shows the bracelet secured upright in the base groove, with a pin punch positioned over the bracelet pin and a small hammer above it.

The groove supports the bracelet while the punch is used on a compatible pin. Keep the pin's exit clear and follow the direction arrow. Do not force a stuck pin.

Clasp and strap removal

Pointed tool positioned at the clasp pin
Use the pointed end at the accessible butterfly-clasp pin hole.

1. Use the pointed end at the clasp

The pointed end of the tool is used at the butterfly-clasp pin, as shown. Position the tip in the accessible pin hole to release the fitting.

Clasp designs vary. Use this method only when your clasp matches the illustration; contact us if you are unsure how its pin is retained.

Forked spring bar tool positioned between the watch case and strap
Position the forked end at the spring bar under the case lug.

2. Use the forked end at the case lug

Move the forked end between the strap and the inside of the case lug, locating the shoulder of the spring bar. Press inward to compress the bar, then move the strap end sideways to release it from the watch case.

Hold the spring bar carefully so it does not spring away.
